1. This leasing agreement forms the contract in respect of hiring the Moulin du Rateau.

2. The duration of the stay shall be as per the booking agreement. The mill will be available from 4pm on the first day of the stay (Saturday unless by prior agreement), and clients agree to vacate the mill by noon on the final day (Saturday unless by prior agreement).

3. The reservation becomes effective upon receipt by the owners of the deposit of 25% of the total charge.

4. The balance of the charge becomes payable ten weeks in advance of arrival.

5. A booking made less than ten weeks in advance is payable in full upon booking.

6. Cancellation by the client. Any cancellation must be notified by letter or email to the owner.In the event of cancellation or curtailment, monies which have been paid will not be refunded.

7. Cancellation by the owner. The owner will refund all monies paid.

8. Inventory of fixtures. A list of the fixtures will be presented upon arrival, agreed and signed by both parties. The inventory constitutes the only reference in the event of any litigation concerning the inventory of fixtures. The state of cleanliness of the mill at the arrival of the client will have been noted in the inventory. The cleaning of the mill is the responsibility of the client for the duration of the stay (unless otherwise agreed).

9. Deposit or guarantee. Upon arrival the client shall pay a deposit of Euros 150 (or £100 Sterling)in cash. Upon departure the inventory of fixtures shall be agreed and the deposit returned, after deductions for the cost of repairs should any damage be noted. In the event of early departure without time to check the inventory, the deposit shall be returned to the client in due course, less any appropriate deductions.

10. Bed linen and tea-towels are included in the cost of the hire of the mill.

11. During the appropriate season a daily allowance of wood will be provided. Further wood can be purchased if required.

12. Usage. The client will ensure the peaceful character of the neighbourhood and make use of the facilities with respect for the local environment and its inhabitants. In the event of any serious breach of this clause the owner reserves the right to ask the client to vacate the premises immediately.

13. Capacity. The contract is drawn up for a maximum capacity of seven people. If the number of occupants exceeds this capacity, the owner reserves the right to refuse the additional people.

14. Animals. This contract specifies that no animals be permitted. In the event of breach of this clause the owners reserve the right to refuse the let, and no refund will be made.

15. Insurances. The client is responsible for any and all damage incurred during the stay. It is held that the client will insure against any such damage by way of standard holiday insurance for this risk.

16. Payment of extras. Payment of any extras provided will be made on departure.

17. Litigations. Any litigation of any nature will be held to be under French law.
